Mr. William Fowler

Mr. William Fowler, an educator, technologist and lawyer; is the Managing Partner for Cisco’s Internet Business Solutions Group’s, Global Education Practice. Mr. Fowler’s IBSG Education team has helped higher education institutions, governments, state agencies businesses and schools to achieve their goals for improving student achievement, streamlining operations and integrating Internet technologies into instruction, administration and the business of education. Some of these include UC Berkeley, the University of North Carolina, NYU, the New York City Board of Education, Fairfax County Public Schools, the McGraw-Hill Companies, Bell Canada, the Digital California Project, the Provinces of Ontario and British Columbia and the Education departments of Arizona, California, Georgia, North Carolina and Colorado. During Mr. Fowler’s five-year tenure at Cisco, he has managed the development of solutions for education institutions worldwide as well as leading the development of Cisco’s E-Learning initiatives and the Cisco Networking Academy; pioneering the use of the Internet and internetworking to change the way people learn. Mr. Fowler has taught at the high school level as well as being adjunct faculty at the University of Arizona. Before Joining Cisco five years ago, Mr. Fowler was the Assistant Superintendent for Business Affairs and General Council in Riverside County, California and prior to that, for Los Angeles County High Schools. In those positions he developed the first countywide network, linking all levels of education institutions from the University of California Riverside, to the Community Colleges, to over 300 campuses serving hundreds of thousands of students. In Los Angeles, he implemented the first Windows NT networks in California schools and led the high tech consortium for the South Bay region of Los Angeles. Prior to Mr. Fowler’s educational career, he worked in investment banking working to finance schools, colleges and municipal development in Arizona.

Mr. Gary is an information Systems Security Professional with more than 19 years of hands-on experience. His expertise lies in developing comprehensive corporate information security and incident response strategies that serve today's business needs. Mr. Gary helped develop Carnegie Mellon University's Computer Emergency Response Team program and served as the team's Managing Director for four years. Mr. Gary has been interviewed and/or cited as an expert by CNBC, CNN, NBC, ComputerWorld, InformationWeek, Time and Newsweek.

Dr. Michael McRobbie

Professor Michael McRobbie has been Vice-President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at Indiana University since January 1997. He is also CEO of Pervasive Technology laboratories and is Chief Information Architect for the Indiana Genomics Initiative. He has extensive experience in working with the industry and has led various large university, industry, and government joint information technology initiatives. Dr. McRobbie is author, co-author or editor of a number of books and nearly 100 papers, articles and reports. He has given numerous invited papers at international conferences and at Universities and research institutions around the world.

In 1991, William Saito, recognized as one of the world's foremost experts in biometrics and authentication technology, co-founded I/O Software, Inc. Saito's experience in the area of authentication and his relationships with the world's top computer company executives have helped propel I/O Software Inc. to the forefront of the biometrics and authentication space. He was honored by Ernst & Young/USA Today in 1998 as the Inland Empire "Entrepreneur of the Year" and received the Collegiate Entrepreneur Organizations CEO award for 2001. Mr. Saito frequently consults with companies and governments around the world regarding biometric technology and is regularly invited to speak at public events, conventions, conferences, and before legislative and oversight committees. He has also been invited to discuss various information security issues on CNN, CNBC, NHK, TechTV
