“Protecting Privacy on Campus” (Management)
Workshop will be conducted by Joanne McNabb, Chief, California Office of Privacy Protection
Description: A must for higher education IT managers, this workshop will provide invaluable information to IT managers and staff about the laws and regulation, risks and responsibilities associated with handling personal information.
“Secure Windows Vista Environment” (Technical, Full Day)
Workshop will be conducted by LearniT!, a Microsoft Gold Partner
Description: This full day technical workshop for experienced IT staff will provide a technical overview of security features of the new Microsoft operating system Vista. Individuals will be given information to facilitate the migration and integration of Vista into current Windows environments.
- 1:30-5:00 p.m.
Boxed lunches will be offered to all of those attending an afternoon pre-conference workshop or the Secure Windows Vista Environment workshop. Please note that the boxed lunches will be distributed between 12:00 & 12:30 p.m. only.
“Risk Assessment Framework for Higher Education” (Management)
Workshop will be conducted by Cheryl Washington, Chief Information Security Coordinator, CSU East Bay and Dr. Javier Torner, Information Security Officer, CSU, San Bernardino
Description:
This half day workshop will provide IT managers and administrators with the necessary tools to develop and conduct a systematic information technology risk assessment of critical assets.
