Thank you for your interest in becoming a sponsor at Secure IT 2008, the sixth annual information security conference scheduled for March 4-6, 2008 in San Diego, CA.
Since the first event was held in April of 2003, the Secure IT conference has developed a loyal cadre of attendees, predominantly but not exclusively from higher education, who have responsibility for the security of information within their institutions and companies. The goal of the conference annually is to inform managers, security professionals, IT professionals and faculty about current threats to information security, responses, prevention, legal issues, best practices, curriculum development, as well as products and services available. Each of the past Secure IT conferences has been supported primarily by the California State University System and the California Community Colleges, along with industry sponsors.
Sponsors and exhibitors from the 2007 event overwhelmingly indicated interest in participating in the 2008 conference. And their feedback to the conference committee has been heard! The primary change for 2008 will be the elimination of an exhibit hall in favor of targeted opportunities for sponsors to network with attendees. In addition, a return of the radio broadcast - MyTechnologyLawyer.com - will provide both attendees and sponsors an opportunity to reach the global market during the conference. Good News! The restructuring of the conference schedule for 2008 has resulted in more opportunities to sponsor and at lower costs.
Marriott San Diego Mission Valley located in San Diego, CA is this year's conference hotel, hosting the pre-conferences and keynote addresses. All concurrent sessions and events will be conveniently located on the premises. San Diego attractions are easily accessed using the Trolley system. Restaurants, night clubs, shopping and cultural points of interest are just a hop away.
As always, we will market the conference to an international audience of decision makers in higher education and government. We hope to attract even more IT professionals in the community colleges and K-12 in the western U.S. Our direct mail promotional materials go out to over 12,000 addresses ensuring broad exposure to IT decision makers around the country.
